Labour Minister meets Philippines Special Presidential Envoy

Manama, Nov. 17  2014 (BNA):  Labour Minister also board Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)'s Chairman Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received the Philippines Republic Special Presidential Envoy to the GCC Countries, Dr. Amable Aguiluz, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting commended the deep-rooted bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing that these visits open vaster vistas of cooperation in various fields, lauding existing technical and professional cooperation.

Dr. Aguiluz stressed his country's desire to develop its bilateral relations with Bahrain in various fields, lauding Bahrain's distinctive experience of labour market reformation in the entire region, and the Kingdom's prestigous international position in terms of labour regulations, ergonomics, human resources development which made Bahrain to become an investment-attractive regional vocational training centre in various spheres.

Industry and Commerce Minister receives Philippines President's Special Envoy

Manama, Nov. 16. 2014 (BNA) -- Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro received here today the Special Envoy of the President of Republic of Philippines Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz.

The Minister praised the economic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Philippines, pointing to the significant growth of these relations in light of the efforts made by the leadership and the governments of the two countries. In the same context, they reviewed bilateral ties that bind Bahrain and Philippines and the positive results of mutual visits between the leaders of the two countries.

He stressed ministry's continuous efforts to strengthen economic relations of cooperation and coordination, particularly food security and joint investments, affirming the ministry's readiness to promote the exchange rates in the commercial, industrial and investment fields.

Dr. Aguiluz expressed his country's appreciation for Bahrain's efforts of supporting joint economic cooperation. .

HRH Premier, Philippines President hold official talks

Manila, Oct. 1. 2014 (BNA) – Bahrain and the Philippines have agreed on the need to activate bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation for the sake of achieving common interests and enhancing their friendship and cooperation relations.

They also discussed the best mechanisms to activate the agreements signed between them in various fields, particularly regarding efforts to encourage trade, economic and investment cooperation, and the possibility of exchanging expertise.

This came as His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa met here today the Philippines President President Benigno S. Aquino III.

Upon arrival at the Presidential Palace, an official reception was held in his honour.

Then, he inspected the Presidential Guard of Honour, whose members lined up to salute him.

After that, HRH the Prime Minister recorded a statement in the VIP Register, in which he voiced pride in the advanced level of the Bahraini-Filipino relations, and expressed the keenness of the Government of Bahrain to boost bilateral ties for the joint interests of the two friendly peoples.

Then, HRH Premier and the Filipino President held talks during which they agreed to activate joint agreements in various fields to pave the way for broadening bilateral cooperation.

The two sides agreed to bolster joint cooperation in the health field by exchanging expertise.

They also agreed to consolidate bilateral cooperation in the vocational training, in light of the government's constant interest in upgrading human resources in the kingdom, and agricultural development, in line with the government's policies to achieve food security.

The Philippines President lauded the way the Government of Bahrain, led by HRH Premier, had dealt with the events that the country had gone through, which, he said, reflected its wisdom and far-sightedness.

He congratulated HRH the Prime Minister on the announcement of the date of the parliamentary elections, which would augur a new chapter of national action in Bahrain.

He reiterated his country's rejection of all forms of terrorism, and backs the efforts of the kingdom and the International Community to combat it.

He expressed his country's desire to avail of Bahrain's strategic location and distinguished economic and financial status to boost economic and trade cooperation with the GCC countries.

HRH Premier and the Filipino President underlined the crucial role that can be played by the private sector in the two countries to boost cooperation in all the fields, including education, health, tourism and agriculture and food security.

They also stressed the need to consolidate cooperation among Asian countries, particularly in economic and investment fields, given their huge natural and human potentials that entitle them to build up an effective model of economic cooperation.

HRH Premier expressed the kingdom's desire to enhance bilateral cooperation with the Philippines.

He also praised the contributions of the members of the Filipino community to Bahrain's development process thanks to their competence and distinguished skills, affirming the government's constant desire to ensure security and safety for all expatriate communities.

HRH Premier's visit to Manila is in line with his keen interest to strengthen bridges of cooperation with east-Asian countries, given the important economic and political weight of the ASEAN group.

RCO to build two vocational training centres and a residential complex in the Philippines

Manama, Feb. 21. 2014 (BNA) – Following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Philippine Vice-President Jejomar Binay, a signing ceremony to sign an agreement to build two vocational training centres, carrying the name of "Bahrain", and 500-home residential complex, as part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's charitable support to the people of the Philippines after the typhoon which befell the country, was held at Subic city.

The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Filipino Red Cross Committee Richard Gordan, on behalf of the Philippine side, and RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, on behalf of Bahrain.

The Secretary-General of Bahrain Red Crescent Fawzi Amine also signed an agreement to build a residential complex comprising 500 homes in the most affected areas.

On the occasion, Shaikh Nasser extended sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to HM King Hamad, RCO Honorary President, for his kind humanitarian initiatives to help the needy and provide relief aid to disaster-stricken people, which reflects the Royal keenness to support needy people wherever they may be out of the humanitarian ties bonding the kingdom with all peoples of the world.

He added that the kind Royal gesture affirms the outstanding friendly ties bonding Bahrain and the Philippines.

He said upon directives from HM the King, the agreements to build two vocational training centres and 500 homes to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan were signed, which, he noted, reflects Bahrain's keenness to provide outstanding humanitarian support to the victims and launch development projects that benefit all.

He added that RCO will continue its humanitarian work aiming to reduce the sufferings of the friendly people of the Philippines, in line with the directives of the kingdom's wise leadership and government.

Shaikh Nasser conveyed greetings of HM the King and wishes of further progress and prosperity to the friendly people of the Philippines.

He voiced pride in translating HM the King's humanitarian initiatives into the ground and implementing development projects to people of the Philippines.

He lauded the solid historical ties bonding the two countries and their friendly peoples.

"We are reaping the fruit of the outstanding brotherly ties bonding the two countries at all levels –leadership, government and people," he said.

The Philippine Vice-President Jejomar Binay expressed, on behalf of the Philippine President and people, sincere thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad and the Bahraini government and people, lauding HM the King's humanitarian stances in support of disaster-stricken people all over the world.

He praised the kingdom's support for his country during such sad circumstances, which, he said, will strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation relations.

He expressed pride in the solid ties bonding the two countries in all fields.

He lauded Shaikh Nasser's efforts to implement HM the King's kind directives to support needy and disaster-stricken people across the world.

He praised RCO's humanitarian role and said that its outstanding services have enhanced its prestigious reputation in delivering humanitarian and relief aid.

RCO Secretary-General said that Bahrain will stand by the friendly people of the Philippines and support the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, pledging that RCO, led by Shaikh Nasser, will implement the projects quickly and continue launching similar initiatives to reduce the their sufferings.

Bahraini Triathlon team received by Philippines President's Envoy to GCC

Manila, Feb 20  2014 (BNA) -- Upon arrival to participate in the triathlon championship, to be held in the Philippines on Saturday, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa were received at the airport by the Philippines President's Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States, Ambassador Dr. Amable Aguiluz, Bahrain's Honorary Consul in the Philippines, Aguiluz Jr, a number of Philippine officials and members of Bahrain's Embassy in Thailand.

Ambassador Aguiluz commended the deep-rooted relations between the two countries in all fields and wished the Bahraini team success in the 600-rival international triathlon championship.

Labour Minister receives Special Envoy of Filipino President  

Manama: June 25 - (BNA) Labor Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan met with the friendly Republic of the Philippines President's Special Envoy to the GCC Dr Amabel Aguiluz and his accompanying delegation and reviewed with him excellent bilateral cooperation relations between the two friendly countries and ways and means to boost these relations in the area of human development and particularly labor cooperation and positive outcomes achieved for the best interest of both friendly countries and peoples.

On this occasion, the Minister praised the contributions of the Philippines expatriate community in the Kingdom of Bahrain's development process citing highly productive, disciplined and cooperative Filipino workforce.

During the meeting, the two sides explored the participation of the Minister of Labor during the second consultative ministerial meeting for labor-exporting Asian nations hosted in the Republic of the Philippines.

On the other hand, Dr. Aguiluz praised excellent bilateral cooperation relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Philippines and praised the Ministry's efforts in providing conditions and preserving the rights of Filipino manpower and his appreciation of positive initiatives launched by the Kingdom of Bahrain in regulating the Labor Market and serious commitment to creating balanced, fair relations between partners in the production process.

BCCI Chairman lauds strong relations between Bahrain and Philippines  

Manama, June 26 (BNA) - Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) board Chairman Dr. Essam Fakhro lauded strong and growing bilateral and economic relations between Bahrain and the Philippines. He was speaking at a ceremony held by BCCI in honour of the Philippine President's Special Envoy to the GCC Countries Dr. Amable Aguiluz and his accompanying delegation. Ways of bolstering bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation were discussed.

Dr. Fakhro commended the Philippines' development at all levels, stressing Bahrain's keen interest to further cement bilateral economic and trade links by enhancing the role of the private sector and boosting joint investments.

He pointed out the need for more meetings between businessmen from both countries so as to bolster bilateral trade relations and explore new investment opportunities.

On his part, Dr. Aguiluz hailed distinguished political and economic relations between both countries, praising BCCI efforts to further solidify bilateral economic ties.

Manama: Jan. 23 -- (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, received today in HRH the Premier's court the Philippines President's Special Envoy to the GCC countries Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz who conveyed to His Royal Highness compliments from the Philippines President Benigno Aquino and renewed President Aquino's invitation to His Royal Highness to visit the Philippines Republic.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, praised the bilateral, friendly cooperation relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Philippines Republic, citing the two countries desire to develop and boost these relations in various spheres and to open new horizons of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries which serve the best interest of both countries and peoples.

His Royal Highness also praised the contribution of the Philippines resident community in the Kingdom's development.

His Royal Highness the Prime Minister tasked Dr. Aguiluz to communicate greetings and best wishes of health and well-being from His Royal Highness to the Philippines President and to the Philippines people progress and prosperity.

Foreign Minister Receives Letter from Philippine Envoy

Manama-July 10 (BNA) Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa today received a letter from Philippine President's Envoy to the GCC and GCC Honorary Consul to the Philippines Dr. Amable Aguiluz dealing with strong bilateral relations and the Philippines. 
Dr Aguiluz hailed the decision taken by Manila authorities to lift the ban, from June1, on Philippines workers travelling to the Kingdom of Bahrain. 
He lauded the move pointing out that it would have fruitful results regarding the march of bilateral development. 
He also said he was looking forward to the foreign minister's forthcoming visit to the Philippines.

MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Price Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday received the Millennium Development Goals Award, from the UN in recognition of his crucial role in engineering Bahrain's progress. Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa presented the prize. HRH the Premier stressed Bahrain's remarkable strides to meet the Millennium Development Goals. "Any achievement is the fruit of collective efforts of all Bahrainis in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad," he said.
  He highlighted Bahrain's determination to attain the development goals ahead of the 2015 deadline set by the UN. The effort would require dynamic policies that spur growth, achieve sustained development and co-opt the private sector to play a crucial role. HRH the Premier urged more co-operation and partnership with the international community as part Bahrain's commitment to meet the goals. "Winning the award was an important opportunity to showcase the government's efforts to promote social and economic development and overcome challenges", he said. Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalid hailed HRH the Premier's reputation as one of the key leaders drawing attention to crucial development and urban issues.

Manama, July 1 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent congratulatory cable to Philippine's President Benigno Aquino III over electing him as the new President for his country, wishing him good health and his country further progress.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa sent similar cable to Philippine President Benigno Aquino III. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also sent a cable of congratulation to Philippine President Benigno Aquino III.
